Hey it’s Thomas Lorini,
Can’t believe its November already!
In the United States and Canada, November is also known as “No-Shave November” aka Movember as a way to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.
When I think about November I think of the changing leaves, hot chocolate, huddling around a warm fire on a chilly night, and breaking out the sweaters I had forgotten how much I loved during the warmer months.
For me November includes my favorite holiday…Thanksgiving.
Of course growing up in a European family there’s all the great food, there’s the family getting all together, catching up with friends, playing games, watching football, but even more than that is what it represents.
Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful, to stop and think about everything and everyone in our lives that are important to us. And it extends to include this great country we live in.
The land of the Brave and the home of the Free.
Its not always easy, but we should really never take things for granted, lets appreciate all that we have, the big things and the little things.
Until next time, have a great November, enjoy Thanksgiving and live passionately!
Last week my wife Julia and I attended a wedding ceremony for a friend of ours. We had such a great time, from the exchange of their vows, to their speeches and of course the amazing food! We were both reminded of our own wedding over 9 years ago. So many wonderful memories after all these years God has been so good to us. Our faith has been the foundation of our marriage. We don’t have a perfect marriage, but our commitment and love is based on God’s commitment and love to to those who love Him and commit themselves to Him through his son Jesus.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”
